The range of XSMIL Ethernet Extenders (Switch SHDSL and Switch-Repeater SHDSL) allows the simple and safe interconnection of a fleet of tactical equipment without using radio communication means.

Thanks to the SHDSL connectivity of XSMILs, a tactical IP network can be extended over long distances using a conventional field cable (D10 cable for example)

All equipment interconnected by a product from the XSMIL familiy is in the same LAN network

Main use cases:

  1. Vehicle in front
  2. Distant vehicle in the outpost (SHDSL case repeating the signal)
=> the case is autonomous (internal battery) or powered by the D10 transmission cable
  3.  Portable Command Post allowing the soldier to communicate via phone, tablet or PC
  4. Connection of fleet of vehicles to the camp
  5. Network looping allowing communication to be maintained even when the cable is cut
Correspondance distance/débit
  • 0,5 km – 8 Mbps
  • 4,0 km – 2 Mbps
